Artist Call Out – Photographers, video-graphers, artists and film makers.

An event of workshops, presentations, artistic exchange and cultural exploration around the theme of travel photography/film making for passionate enthusiasts and artists.  Step out of your creative comfort-zone and challenge yourself by exploring new methodologies and techniques.

Hosted in an artist residence in the Morocco town of Sefrou, just 25km from Fez, this project encourages participants to immerse themselves for an intensive period of digital imagery making, with the ancient medina and rich culture of North Africa as their muse.

This nine-day-long event will look at the skills required when photography is combined with travel and the wider range of issues to consider. Cultural photography/film making is the perfect genre for any photographer/film maker who likes to shoot in a variety of styles, such as portraiture, landscape, architecture and streetscapes. Explore Sefrou and Fez sharing techniques and ideas, approaches and tips making powerful images whilst building a relationship with the medina and its people.

The Photography and Film Making Immersion is designed and lead by the Sefrou-based arts organization Culture Vultures and Fez focused multimedia duo, ASIL Visuals in conjunction with Rencontres Internationales de la Photo de Fès by French Institute. The program includes photography and film making workshops, presentations, talks, showcases, discussions, community engagement and cultural introductions.
